A New Take on Summer Grilling
June 23, 2013
There are some days that I just don't feel like cooking. I'm either tired or it's just so hot! So I need something that I can make quickly but it's also super good. I created the perfect recipe that I can't wait to make again and again throughout the summer, it was just that good.
Hot Dogs are a classic around here. Everyone loves it, but we usually just have it plain with ketchup. Not even a bun. I decided to dress up our boring hot dogs usual into something a little south of the border. So I introduce my Guacamole and Salsa Hot Dog!
Guacamole and Salsa Hot Dog
OSCAR MAYER Selects Uncured Angus Bun-Length Beef Franks
Guacamole (You can make your own, but I bought prepackaged to make it extra easy)
Peach-mango salsa (Again, you can make your own, but I bought prepackaged)
Hot Dog buns
Cook your hot dogs according to the package, I grilled mine.
Spread 2 tbsp. of guacamole on the bottom and sides of the hot dog bun.
Place hot dog on top of the guacamole.
Place 2 tsp. over the salsa on top of the hot dog.
Optional: I would even think about placing some jalapeño slices on top as well to give it an extra bit of kick.
Simple yet delicious way to make your hot dog something more! P.S. Check out Kraft's 4th of July recipes. Start planning now!
