what you need
- For each quart jar you will need:
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cup candy coated chocolates or chocolate chips
make it
Mix salt and baking soda with flour. Then layer ingredients in jar as desired. Cover lid with a fabric circle and tie with a ribbon. To the ribbon attach a card with these directions:
To make cookies you will need:
Cookie mix in a jar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift jar ingredients through a colander to separate out chocolate pieces from dry ingredients.
Beat butter in a medium bowl until fluffy. Beat sifted dry ingredients into butter until blended. In a small bowl, beat egg and vanilla. Mix beaten egg mixture into butter mixture until blended. Stir in chocolate pieces.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
