Moist Strawberry Cake

what you need
  • Cake:
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 small pkg. Jell-O Strawberry Gelatin
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 10 ounce frozen strawberries--cut in half--(half go in cake and half in icing)
  • Icing:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • Rest of strawberries

Mix cake mix, Jell-O, oil, eggs and strawberries together.

Bake at 350°F till done.

I softened the butter and mixed it with the powdered sugar and strawberries. Keep in the refrigerator. If you don't the icing seems to get soft and run.
The icing is real thick, so I mix a little powdered sugar at a time. It seems to bog down my mixer. If it is too thick just add more powdered sugar. Sometimes I have extra icing and I keep it in the refrigerator and use it on cupcakes or another cake.
