The Best Pizza Dough

Makes: 2 large pizza crusts Total Time: 45 min

what you need
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 cups flour
make it
Combine yeast, water and sugar. Let rest 5 minutes.

Add all other ingredients. Knead about ten times or until flour is combined. Shape into ball. Place in oiled bowl and cover. Set in warm place for thirty minutes or until doubled in size.

Divide dough into 2 balls. Roll each ball out onto greased pizza pans. Poke holes in the bottom to prevent bubbles. Top with favorite ingredients.

Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
Notes
Great multipurpose dough. Makes delicious dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, and breadsticks.

For a nice thick pizza crust use a tall smooth drinking glass to roll out the dough, it creates just the right amount of crust.
