what you need
- 1 package yeast
- 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups self-rising flour
make it
Mix first 5 ingredients. Add flour and mix well. Dough will be VERY soft. May be refrigerated at this time for several days. Do NOT let rise.
Fill well-greased muffin pan 1/2 full.
Bake at 400 degrees F for about 15 minutes.
Notes
I usually make these at the beginning of the week and use up the dough through the week. They are just as good after the dough has been refrigerated.
