what you need
- Crust:
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup flour
- Filling:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon softened butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Dash of salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
make it
Crust: Blend butter and cream cheese. Stir in flour. Roll into one inch balls. Press into miniature muffin tins. Covering bottom and sides. Chill for about 10 minutes
Filling: Beat sugar, egg, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth. Pour in pecans and stir. Fill crust in muffin pans about 2/3 full.
Bake at 325 degrees F about 30 minutes.
Notes
I use a wood presser just for the small pans. It spreads it all over pans just right, Or you can use your hands.
This is a great appetizer, or finger food. Everyone loves it. I usually have to double the recipe.
