Mom's Holiday Applesauce Cake

Makes: Serves lots of guests Total Time: 2 hr

what you need
  • 2 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups applesauce
  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup Parkay Margarine, melted
  • 3 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
make it
Coat raisins and nuts with small amount of flour, this keeps them from going to the bottom of the cake. Mix all ingredients very well.

Pour in bundt or angel food cake pan (greased & floured).

Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
Notes
This is a very firm cake, and can be sliced and served to last during and after the holidays.

This is a traditional family recipe used for Christmas or Thanksgiving.

Very Very good!!!

The 2 hrs above include 30 minutes preparation and 1 1/2 hrs for baking.
