what you need
- 1 lb. boneless chicken strips
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoon Crisco Oil
- 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 cup green bell pepper strips
- 1 1/2 cups minute rice
make it
Brown chicken, onion and garlic in oil.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasonings and peppers. Bring to full boil.
Stir in rice. Cover, remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir before serving.
Notes
You can also substitute and use 1 jar (16 oz) Spaghetti sauce and 1 1/4 cup water.
