Easy Swiss Steak

what you need
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 large round steak (cut in small serving pieces)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup
make it
In electric skillet, add oil. Roll steak pieces in flour and salt. Brown on both sides in skillet. Remove steak and set aside. Do not remove oil, unless you have a lot leftover (this seasons it).

Pour in 2 cups water, onion & tomato soup (mixing well). Add steak.

Simmer on low about 1 hr, or until meat is tender.
Notes
The longer you simmer this, the soup mixture will get thicker. Do not have heat on high, low is better.

You can add more tomato soup if necessary. Serve with mashed potatoes or vegetables of your choice.
