what you need
- 8 ozs. cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups whipped cream
- 1 can (15-20 oz.) crushed pineapple, well drained
- 1 can (15-20 oz.) pineapple chunks or tidbits, well drained
- 1 (9 inch or 6 oz.) graham cracker crust
make it
First, soften the cream cheese; then slowly add the sugar while using a beater or a fork to blend them together (beater is better).
Fold the whipped cream in a little at a time, then fold in the crushed pineapple a little at a time. Next, pour mixture into crust and top with the pineapple chunks or tidbits.
Refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight (overnight is best). Before serving, this is optional, take canned whipped cream and decorate around the edge of the pie.
Number of servings depends on how much you want, although it usually has 6 servings in my home. Enjoy!!! :-D
Notes
I got this when cutting coupons. I've changed the instructional wording to how I make it, but it's so good! This thing doesn't last long in my house, 2 days maximum, because it's so tasty.
We had the fun once of using a special funnel cap that colored the canned whipped cream as we put it on, so if you want to get a little decorative this could be an option.
