Pre-heat oven to 350F. In a 9x12 inch baking glass pour in potatoes. Over the potatoes pour in melted butter, green onion, and cheddar cheese.

In a bowl mix sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Then spread over potatoes.

In another bowl crunch up corn flakes. Add in melted butter. Then spread that over the whole dish.

Bake @ 350F for 20-30 minutes or until crisp golden brown.
Grandma Bett's famous potatoes are so special to me, because she used to make them so wonderful for the family until she passed away. Every holiday we all wanted Grandma to always make her famous potatoes.

Now I can carry on the recipe and prepare it for my family and always remember our one and only Grandma Bett.

Rated  by pantrygrl on 1/13/2008 THis turned out very well. Good color, Good smell! I love them!! THe only problem I had was it took longer than 30 mins on 350. I had to turn the stove up to 450 and leave them in for about ten minutes. I also added some cayenne pepper on top for a little kick!!!
