Makes: 4-6 servings Total Time: 30 min
Category: Sandwiches Sub Category: Sandwiches

what you need
  • 1 pound of chipped deli ham
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Bottled barbecue sauce to individual taste
  • Sandwich buns (I like to use Kaiser rolls)
make it
Tear, or chop deli ham into small pieces. Add ham, margarine, and onions to a large skillet and heat until onions are browned and ham is also slightly browned.

Pour barbecue sauce into skillet with ham and onions, adding appropriate amount to your taste, and heat through. Spoon ham mixture onto sandwich rolls and enjoy!
I sometimes add green peppers with my onions. I also sometimes add a silce of cheese to each sandwich just before serving.

They are great when served with fries or your favorite side for a quick supper. Can also be easily multiplied to feed a crowd, keep warm in a slow cooker on low setting.
