Makes: 2 (six-inch) sandwiches Total Time: 10 min
Category: Sandwiches Sub Category: Sandwiches

what you need
  • 1 foot long roll sourdough French bread
  • About 4 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese spread (light or regular)
  • Honey or dijon mustard
  • 4 medium size romain lettuce leaves
  • 1 box alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 to 2 beefstake or equivelant tomato
  • 8 oz. or more package sliced salami or pastrami
  • 1/4 lb. deli sliced honey or smoked ham
  • (Add or substitute 1/4 lb same of turkey for bird lovers)
  • 1/2 lb. sliced or shredded pepper jack cheese (sliced is my preference)
  • 1/4 lb. shredded American cheddar
make it
First start by slicing the sourdough roll in half long ways (toasting is great and optional). Completely. The ingredients don't fit normal sub style.

Next warm Philadelphia cream cheese spread ten seconds in microwave. Spread evenly over bottom half of the roll. Next switch to top half and spread 3 tablespoons honey or dijon mustard (or to taste) evenly. Now place two romain lettuce leaves on each half of bread. Spread evenly about 1/4 to 1/2 box of sprouts on each half. Cut tomato(es) into even 1/8 inch slices and spread evenly slightly overlapping one another on bottom half. Evenly spread out turkey, ham, and cheese. Enjoy!
