Raspberry Cheese Trifle

what you need
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons Red Raspberry Jell-O Brand Gelatin
  • 2 cups frozen red raspberries
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip
  • 1 angel food cake cubed
make it
Combine sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Stir in water. Cook on medium heat until thick and clear.

Remove from heat and stir in gelatin until dissolved. Cool and then add the raspberries. Beat cream cheese and Cool Whip on medium speed. Fold in cake cubes.

Layer cake mixture and then fruit filling, alternately ending with fruit filling. Chill overnight.
Notes
You may use cubed pound cake in place of angel food cake.
