what you need
- 2-3 lb. California Roast (2-3" thick)
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) frozen seasoning mix (diced onions, peppers, & celery)
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of broccoli soup
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 2 pkg. (1 lb. each) frozen stew vegetables (potatoes, carrots, & onions)
make it
Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with butter flavor cooking spray, and place the roast in the dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the seasoning mix & soups, mixing well. Pour the soup mixture on top of the roast. Place the vegetables on top of the soup mixture. Cover & seal with aluminum foil.
Bake for 1 hour 45 minutes or until done.
Notes
You may substitute any type of roast (chuck, blade steak, 7 bone, etc).
I have also tried most all of the "cream" types of soup, & they all work well.
I serve this with really good bread & butter on the side.
