what you need
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk, divided
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 bag caramels
- 1 cup chocolate chips
make it
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup canned milk, melted butter and chopped nuts. Pat 1/2 of mixture into a 9x13-inch pan and bake for 8 minutes.
Melt 50 caramels with 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk. Pour caramel mixture over baked cake and sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips on top. Put remaining cake batter over top of chocolate chips (spoon on mixture.)
Bake for about 18 minutes. Cut when cooled.
