what you need
- 1 cup water
- 1 tea bag (.16-ounce), any flavor (Orange-scented tea works especially well)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 large sprigs mint, divided
- 3 ounces bourbon, such as Woodford Reserve
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Lillet Blanc - French aperitif wine (optional)
make it
Combine water, tea bag, sugar, and 2 sprigs mint in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over low heat on stovetop until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
Discard tea bag and mint. Stir in bourbon, orange juice, lemon juice, and Lillet.
Pour over ice in 2 large iced-tea glasses; garnish with remaining 2 sprigs mint.
