Peach Cobbler in a Slow Cooker

what you need
  • 2 pkg. (16 oz. each) frozen peaches, thawed and drained
  • 3/4 cup plus 1 Tbsp. sugar, divided
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, cut into bits
make it
1) Combine peaches, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl. Place into slow cooker.

2) For topping, combine flour, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in separate bowl. Cut in butter with pastry cutter or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over peach mixture.

3) Cover; cook on high 2 hours. Serve with freshly whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

Rated  by justmelane on 9/2/2009 This was sooo good and easy. Liked that it used very few ingredients. Smelled wonderful. After it was finished cooking set slow cooker to keep warm until ready to serve. Topped it with cool whip. Everyone said it was good
