what you need
- 1 package (18 count) chicken wings
- 1 heaping cup flour
- 1 heaping tsp. salt
- Grease (to fry chicken)
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
make it
Soak chicken wings in cold salt water for 1 hour. Rinse and drain the water off well.
Then, combine 1 heaping cup of flour with 1 heaping teaspoon of salt. Shake the wings in this mixture a few at a time.
Fry chicken wings in grease until brown, a few at a time. Place them on a baking sheet; DO NOT CROWD THEM!
Bake at 400 degrees until almost crispy (15-20 minutes). Meanwhile, melt 1 cup butter, add 1/4 cup of hot sauce. Drizzle 1/2 of this over the chicken wings, return to oven for 5-10 minutes longer. Leave remaining butter/hot sauce mixture out for those who like a bit more of a kick!
Notes
When soaking chicken wings in cold salt water, you may add any spices of your choice for taste!
