Fried Dill Pickles

what you need
  • 4 cups cooking oil
  • 1 jar sliced dill pickles
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons dill weed
make it
Heat the oil to a frying level.

Soak the pickles in the buttermilk for about 10 minutes. Mix flour, salt, pepper and dill weed. Remove pickles from buttermilk and coat in flour mixture.

Drop in hot oil for 3 minutes; you may need to flip each pickle over.
Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

You can add crushed red pepper to the flour mixture for a little zing!
