what you need
- Crust:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- Streusel:
- 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. butter, room temp
- Filling:
- 4 cups peeled and slicing cooking apples (i.e. Jonathan or Empire)
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup sugar, white or brown
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Crust: Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles tiny peas. Pat into a 7 x 11 inch brownie pan and set aside.
Streusel: Roughly work ingredients with fingers until combined and crumbly and set aside.
Filling: Sprinkle apples with combined sugar and cinnamon and stir until coated. Evenly spread apples onto crust and sprinkle with streusel.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
