what you need
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 quarts chicken broth
- 2 cups smooth peanut butter
- 1 3/4 cups light cream
- Cayenne pepper to taste
make it
In a large skillet, saute onion and celery in butter until soft but not browned.
Stir in flour until well blended. Add chicken broth, stir constantly and bring just to a boil.
Add peanut butter and light cream, reduce heat and stir until well blended, do not boil. Add cayenne pepper, if desired, to taste.
