Mac and Cheese Bake

what you need
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar, divided
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • 1 box (16 oz.) elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
make it
Preheat oven 375 degrees F. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, and pepper until smooth; take off heat. Slowly stir in milk until smooth. Stir constantly for 10 minutes over low heat until thick. Stir in 1-1/2 cups cheddar, Velveeta, and mozzarella cheese until melted.

Put cooked macaroni into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Pour cheese mixture over noodles and mix well.

Sprinkle left over cheddar and paprika on top. Bake for 20 minutes.
