what you need
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup flour
- Filling
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
make it
In mixing bowl, cream butter and cream cheese. Fold in flour and blend well. Form into 1 large ball of dough. Divide dough into 24 balls. In palm of hand, flatten each ball into a circle and press circles into miniature muffin pan to form tart shells.
Preheat oven to 350°F while making filling. In mixing bowl, cream butter, both sugars, and egg; mix well. Add vanilla. Spoon filling into each shell.
Bake for 20 minutes. Cool before removing tarts from pan.

You may top these with any kind of fruit pie filling.
