what you need
- 1 lb. beef stew meat
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 package egg noodles
- 3 Tbsp. brown gravy mix
- 1 cup sour cream
make it
1. Sear beef stew meat chunks on high heat for 5-7 minutes or till sear appears on each side in a large pot.
2. Reduce heat to medium and add mushrooms, minced garlic and onion and cook 5 minutes-till onion becomes transparent.
3. Add water, soup mix, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Cook for 3 hours on medium-high heat-till meat is tender.
4. Cook egg noodles according to package directions.
5. Add brown gravy mix to thicken the sauce. Add sour cream and stir to full incorporate into sauce. Serve over hot egg noodles.
Notes
You can speed up cooking process by using pressure cooker after adding water. Once steam appears cook for 30 minutes then continue as normal.
May add peas to dish if desired.
