what you need
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 cups frozen tater tots
- 2 cups frozen French-style green beans, thawed
- 3 cups Hot mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded Colby cheese
make it
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in soup, garlic salt and pepper.
Place tater tots in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Top with beef mixture and green beans. Spread mashed potatoes over the top; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until heated through.
Notes
To cut down on the cooking time you may pre-bake the tater tots by placing the oven on 425 degrees F and baking for 15 minutes, until soft, but not completely done.
