Glorified Rice

what you need
  • 1 jar (10 oz.) chopped maraschino, drained & patted dry
  • 1-2 bananas sliced
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cups precooked, white rice
  • 1 can (16 oz.) crushed pineapple
  • 1 tub (16 oz.) Cool whip
make it
Drain cherries, pat dry chop set aside. Put banana slices in lemon juice to prevent turning brown.

Mix rice & crushed pineapple in bowl. Blend in 1/2 Cool Whip, add more if needed. Drain bananas and fold into rice mixture with cherries.

Chill until serving.
Best to make same day. Blend ingredients as close to serving time as possible.

My mother made this at Christmas every year.
