Comfy Cottage Pie

what you need
  • 3 lb. frozen ground beef
  • 8 baby carrots
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 3 cups water, divided
  • 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. brown gravy mix
  • 10 med. potatoes
  • 1/2 container Philadelphia Cream cheese with chive and onions
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups Kraft Grated Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • Freshly grated peppercorns and sea salt to taste
make it
Place frozen hamburger, sliced baby carrots, frozen peas, chopped celery and chopped onions in large skillet with one cup water, over medium to low heat and allow hamburger to thaw while cooking vegetables. When hamburger is done, drain and return to skillet.

Add two more cups water, Worcestershire sauce and brown gravy mix. Cover and let simmer until mixture is thick and vegetables are tender.

Peel, boil and mash potatoes. Add Philadelphia cream cheese, butter and milk. Blend with mixer. Salt to taste.

Cover meat mixture with mashed potatoes and score with veggie pick or fork. Top with Kraft Grated Cheddar Cheese.

Bake in 325°F oven approximately 45 minutes or until top of potatoes is golden brown and cheese is melted.
A filling comfort food.
