made it for supper with guests, they all loved it. will not use the water the next time just to have thicker gravy. Flavor was wonderful and the meat very tender. I put the meat in raw.

I cut this recipe in half as there is just the two of us. The gravy was very thin and didn't have much taste. I cooked it for the four hours that the recipe called for. It was just passable, nothing more.

I made this and loved it! I did not have beef broth so I substituted chicken broth and I added a sliced onion. I did add the water as called for and cooked this for about 4 hours after browning the steaks stovetop on both sides. The gravy wss nice and thick. I served this with mashed potatoes and will definitely make this again.

The flavor of this dish was wonderful. I let it cook for the full 5 hours & took the advice from others by not adding the water.The meat was super dry.I also put the meat in raw. I will try it again, but next time cook it for just 4 hours, brown the meat & add the water

The meal has become a regular at our house. We love it. Sometimes we eat it over potatoes and sometimes over rice...either way it is very tasty and very EASY!

i have this, but i dont use the cream of chicken instead i use cream of mushroom (hubby cant eat chicken)......really really good family loves it.
