Thank you! for this great recipe! I made it with the cherry brandy, in addition I used marashino cherries for the garnish. I used the juice of those cherries to mix with the brandy, and sprinkled that over the cake. I also mixed some brandy into the pie filling. FANTASTIC! This turned out to be as close to the real thing as you're gonna get!
