I have made this recipe twice and my 4 kids and husband love it. We gave some to friends and they asked for this recipe. We flaked our own groats and we shortened the cooking time to 12 minutes instead of 14-16 minutes (the cooking time from the magazine). Yum Yum! After everyone got to taste a cookie, I froze them in their own baggie and pulled them out for school lunches and put them into lunch/snack bag. They taste great when defrosted!
