My all-time favorite childhood recipe is one my mom called “Roman Supper.” It started with a single red box of KRAFT Spaghetti with Meat Sauce Dinner, and was a cross between spaghetti and lasagna that was so perfectly simple, but oh so perfectly delicious!
I’ve been pining for it lately with the arrival of October’s crisp and cool evenings, and even though I can’t make that exact recipe, I still love to serve hot and hearty feel-good dishes for my family, like this fall-ish twist on my mom’s Roman Supper.
My Spaghetti Squash Lasagna doesn’t include pasta—gasp!—but spaghetti squash instead. Trust me, you won’t even miss the pasta. Plus, there’s the bonus of the added flavor, nutrition and fiber from the squash.
