How to Have a “Ball” on Game Day

It’s been a while since I’ve touched a basketball. My athletic career peaked in middle school, back when the number of sweatbands you wore was just as important as your skill level. While I never learned to spin the ball on one finger, my ball-handling skills have managed to improve since then—in the kitchen, that is. Upscale Your Grilled Cheese

Grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my absolute favorite comfort foods in the winter months. When I was a child, my mother would make us grilled cheese sandwiches using a big-ol’ grilled cheese press with a metal handle, springs and all. We’d always eat our grilled cheese with a piping-hot bowl of tomato soup for dipping, and a pickle on the side.
