Best-of-Summer Fruit Kabobs

This summer has been ridiculously warm here in the Pacific Northwest. There have been a few weeks when the temperature has peaked at 95 degrees, which is way too hot for a city with few air conditioners. If I had known that this summer was going to be this hot, I would have invested in a pool: inflatable, kiddie, above ground or all of the above. Instead, we’ve been making frequent trips to the various lakes and beaches that surround the city, trying to cool down with frequent splashes in the waves. And a lot of watermelon consumption.
