For years I struggled to completely wrap each noodle around my fork, just like they do in the movies. The end result was never picture-perfect and inevitably, a splash of sauce would find its way into my eye or onto my clothes. It was at a small café in Florence that I was first served my pasta with a fork and spoon. With the help of a spoon, I could tightly and accurately wrap my linguine, spaghetti and angel hair pasta into a twirl so flawless it was almost a shame to eat it. I’m not going to kid you—chipotles are intimidating. I’ve seen people push their grocery cart past them going double time, making no eye contact with the mound of dried husks. They usually head for the bell peppers…and I get that. But here’s the thing: They’re missing out. Dried or canned, chipotles are in everything you want to eat. Seriously. I have some evidence below.
