No-Bake, Quick To Make And Cute As Can Be!

I can’t believe that Christmas is just a few short weeks away! It is time to start the holiday-inspired baking! I have a fun recipe for you today that is both adorable and delicious. Melting Snowmen Cookie Balls, a recipe from KRAFT.

For as long as I can remember, I have been the baker in my family. Even as a teenager I was assembling plates full of holiday goodies such as fudge, crispy treats, peanut butter balls and of course Christmas cookies. Nobody even asks me what I’m bringing to holiday parties and get-togethers, because it is always dessert!

In recent years, my oldest daughter has gotten more involved in the baking as well and she loves taking treats to friends, family and teachers. I love sharing the tradition of baking at the holidays with her, and showing her how to make many of the recipes that I grew up with at the holidays, while creating and trying new ones together. While we often focus on the end results of cooking or baking, so much can be said for the time spent together in the process of creating.

There is something special to me about baking for others and creating edible gifts. Cooking or baking for our friends and family has a personal touch that can often be lost in this digital age. While I love to put together combo plates with lots of goodies, it’s also fun to know that certain people love the peanut butter balls or peppermint bark, and make them their own edible gift of their favorite item.

The Melting Snowmen Cookie Balls I’m sharing with you today are perfect for your Christmas cookie trays, holiday dessert tables and gift giving. They are no-bake, quick to make and cute as can be. By combining crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, a delicious truffle-like cookie ball is created, which is dipped in white chocolate and decorated very simply to create cute little snowmen.

You can let the kiddos help with this one if you like. They can help shape and roll the cookie balls or you can put them in charge of decorating the snowmen once the chocolate has set. These little guys are almost too cute to eat!

I also made a fun variation on these, by adding about one tablespoon of crushed candy canes to my white chocolate mixture, creating a coating that is almost the same as peppermint bark. I finished them off with a few extra sprinkles of crushed candy canes on the top. You could up the peppermint flavor by adding crushed candy canes to your cookie mixture (about one tablespoon for this size recipe) or using peppermint flavored sandwich cookies. These are sure to be a hit with anyone who loves chocolate and peppermint!

If you love to bake and create edible gifts during the holidays, but struggle to find the time, I highly recommend adding some no bake treats such as these cookie balls to your holiday baking line up. I also love making quick fudge recipes, crispy treats, brownies and bar cookies to save on time. There are so many options for treats that you can pull together in a matter of minutes, which still taste amazing. There is enough stress surrounding the holidays, so I’m always looking for great recipe options that make life a little easier, but still have wonderful results.
