Smart Summer Snacking With Kid-Friendly Kabobs

School is officially out for Graham and now comes the summer fun! I am so excited to have this time with him again. We have tons of plans for hanging at the pool, riding bikes and reading a few good books. The one thing I am really trying to do is make sure I can offer a variety of foods for both of the boys while we are at home together. I am thrilled to be working with Kraft in order to provide you with more fun ideas this year.

For me, summer is all about keeping it simple so I am trying a few recipes and ideas that will be different, simple, kid-friendly and fun! Because Davis is such a shrimp lover lately I have been trying to serve them about once a week. This week I decided to try some fun kabobs. These would be great for a dinner idea or even fun for picnic recipes. I also love that shrimp makes great finger foods for the kids.

Shrimp Kabobs Recipe

1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup vegetable oil
¾ cup soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup MIRACLE WHIP Kickin’ Onion Blossom

Place all shrimp on skewers putting a little space in between; place in a resealable plastic bag.
Whisk together remaining ingredients; pour over shrimp and seal. Place in refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Preheat the grill for 1-2 minutes. Remove shrimp from marinade; discard marinade.
Grill shrimp for about 1-2 minutes. Make sure to flip for about 30 more seconds.
Serve right away or save for snacks.

Some other ideas I have involve making veggies more fun by offering dips as well as turning them into fun shapes and characters. Also, both boys are really into eating outdoors. I can offer them just about anything and take it outside and we have a winner!
