Thanksgiving Challenge: Adding Bold, New Flavors To The Menu

Every year, I briefly consider going all out and getting creative with our Thanksgiving dinner menu and year after year I find myself going back to our tried and true favorite recipes. For as long as I can remember, our family has sat down to enjoy the same holiday menus cooked by my amazing grandparents. I believe it is also safe to say that they were enjoying the exact same spreads long before I came around as well.

There is little in life more comforting than enjoying a meal packed full of recipes handed down from one generation to another, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take your favorite Thanksgiving recipes to the next level this year. My favorite side dish is such a hit in our family that it is served at both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Of course, I could only be talking about the famous Broccoli Cracker Casserole and, although it seemed impossible to top perfection, I was determined to try.

There is so much to love about a casserole full of fresh vegetables and creamy VELVEETA® that I knew the one ingredient that could use a kick was the cracker crumb topping. Substituting STOVE TOP Cornbread Stuffing Mix not only added a punch of herbs and spices but also gave this dish such a warm holiday touch with the added layer of traditional stuffing mix.

This Thanksgiving, don’t be afraid to think outside of the turkey when finding ways to incorporate stuffing into your Thanksgiving dinner menu. You don’t have to completely abandon your tried and true favorites, but I challenge you to add bold new flavors to your family’s Thanksgiving feast!
