Cooling Off With Summer Beverages

The weather has finally warmed up here in Cleveland and it’s been wonderful. The sunshine, blue skies and warm temperatures have me packing away our winter clothes and breaking out our shorts, flip flops, and even swimsuits. It’s also had me experimenting in the kitchen with a variety of spring recipes. To cool off I’ve been enjoying making a fruit smoothie and cool coffee drinks.

For inspiration, I visited the Kraft Foods beverage & drink recipes page. They have a wonderful collection of cold drinks that are easy to make and perfect for those warm weather days. Until I browsed the recipes I never would have thought to make smoothies with JELL-O Instant Pudding or to try making frozen coffee drinks at home. They turned out to be surprisingly simple and delicious. Inspired, I started playing around a bit in the kitchen and customized each one a bit. Here’s a look at a few of my favorites from the past few weeks.
