Makes: 4-5 servings Total Time: 1 hr
Category: Appetizers Sub Category: Mexican Dips

what you need
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 1 big bag shredded cheese
  • 1 big jar salsa
  • 1 pound sour creme
  • 2 avocados large
  • 1 big bag of corn chips
  • 1 package guacamole mix
make it
Follow directions on taco seasoning.

Put refried beans in large baking pan, 1st layer.
Layer of cheese, 2nd layer.
layer of taco meat, 3rd layer.
layer of salsa, 4th layer.
layer of cheese, 5th layer.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Make guacamole following directions on guacamole mix and chill. Put layered pan in oven for approx. 20 min. Make sure the cheese is melted good ! When done let stand for approx. 10 min.

Layer of sour cream, 6th layer.
Layer of guacamole, 7th layer.
Serve with chips!
I now serve my dip with the guacamole and sour cream on the side as some don't like them. Guacamole tip: add 1 tablespoon of mayo and/or sour cream to guac. It makes more and I think it tastes great!

You can also put the dip on a tortilla and you have a taste burrito.

Now I kinda double up on this recipe these days and make 2 pans of it. That way if I have too many fans there is enough. If not, I freeze 1 pan for later. To reheat I defrost it in the fridge then put in oven at 350°F till heated thru.
