what you need
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp. baking cocoa (heaping)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 3 1/2 cups quick oats
make it
In large pot combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Bring to a boil for one minute, turn off heat.
Then add the vanilla and peanut butter and stir until peanut butter is melted. Stir in oats.
Immediately drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper or greased cookie sheet. Cool.
Notes
If you do not boil long enough your cookies will come out too soft and chewy, too long and they will be crumbly.
