what you need
- Cheese mixture:
- 8 ounce cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- Batter:
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced orange peel
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 7 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Mix cream cheese with egg yolks, sugar and vanilla. When well blended, add cottage cheese and set aside.
Combine sour cream, butter, orange peel, juice and eggs, one at a time until well blended. Mix in flour, sugar and baking powder until fully incorporated.
Spread 1/2 of batter in 9 by 13-inch baking dish. Place dollops of cheese mixture on top of batter. Spread remaining batter on top.
Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until cake is puffy and golden. Serve with blueberry sauce or strawberries!
