what you need
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 10 oz. grated Colby cheese, divided
- 7 small green onions, chopped fine
- 2 cans crabmeat, rinsed or 1 pound fresh crabmeat
- 1 loaf French bread, hollowed out
make it
Combine mayonnaise, Colby cheese, green onions and crabmeat. Mix well.
Put mixture in hollowed-out bread loaf and bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees F until bubbly. The last 10 minutes add a little more of the grated cheese.
Place bread cubes around and use to dip with.
Notes
You may want to pick up a second loaf of French bread. I have found that there is not enough hollowed out bread for dipping. I slice the other loaf and use as additional dippers.
