what you need
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 lb. block Velveeta Cheese
- 1 can green chilies (mild-hot it's your preference)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Crushed red pepper to taste (optional)
make it
Brown ground beef, sausage and onion together in pan until brown. Drain off excess grease.
Place meat mixture and remaining ingredients in crock-pot and turn on "High" until cheese has melted, stirring occasionally.
After cheese has melted, turn crock-pot to "Low" or "Warm". Serve with tortilla chips or warm pita bread.
Notes
You can also add a small can of tomatoes and green chilies, but it will cut down the thickness of the dip.
This recipe is great because it is simple, quick and can be adjusted to the desired spiciness of the crowd.
