what you need
- 3 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
- 6 Tbsp. (3/4 stick) butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour, divided
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup water
- Chocolate Glaze (see tip below)
- 1 cup seasonal fresh fruit, such as blueberries or raspberries (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on High 2 mins or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir in sugar until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating with electric mixer on low speed after each addition until well blended. Stir in vanilla. Add 1/4 cup of flour and baking soda; mix well. Add remaining cup flour alternating with 3/4 cup water, beating until well blended after each addition.
Pour evenly into a greased and floured 9-in round cake pan.
Bake 30 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 mins, remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Drizzle with Chocolate Glaze and top with berries just before serving.
Notes
Chocolate Glaze: Microwave 3 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, 2 Tbsp. whipping cream and 1 Tbsp. butter in microwavable bowl on High 1-2 min or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
