what you need
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 can (11 1/8 oz.) condensed tomato soup with garlic and other Italian seasonings
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni (1 cup dry)
- 1 cup Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese (4 oz.), divided
- If you can't locate the soup (not sold in all grocery stores), you can substitute tomato sauce with Italian seasonings for the soup and water.
make it
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender, stirring to separate meat. Drain or spoon off fat. Stir in soup, water, pepper, macaroni and 1/2 cup of Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese.
Spoon mixture into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with remaining cheese.
Bake 25 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
Notes
Quick and easy 'comfort' food for the family. Kids love it. I serve it with some hot and crusty bread and a fresh salad (or sugar free Jell-O).
