what you need
- 1-1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 1 package noodles, (any type, but I like egg noodles)
- 1 large jar spaghetti sauce (thick and chunky is the best)
- Fresh mushrooms to taste (optional)
- 1 package Kraft Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoni slices (optional)
make it
Brown ground beef in non-stick skillet until done, adding onion and bell pepper about halfway through cooking. While this is cooking, cook noodles according to package directions. Cook until the noodles are done, but still firm.
When both of these are finished, drain them VERY WELL, and mix them together in a large casserole dish with the spaghetti sauce and mushrooms (if desired). On top of this mixture, sprinkle the entire bag of Kraft shredded mozzarella cheese. Top the cheese with pepperoni, if desired.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F until heated through and the cheese is melted and beginning to brown.
Notes
This recipe can be varied a great deal to suit the taste of your family. It is also very easy to double. I take this dish to church on many occasions and it is always a favorite!
