what you need
- 1-1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef, venison, or turkey
- 1 medium bottle ketchup
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
make it
Fill a large pot with water. Bring to a rolling boil. Drop tiny bits of the ground meat in. Allow to boil for about 30 minutes or until completely done. Drain off all fat and fluids.
Return dry meat to pan. Add ketchup and spices. Adjust amounts to reach desired taste and consistency.
Heat on the stove and serve on hot dogs.
Notes
This recipe can be easily adjusted to fit any family's tastes. Also, after boiling the meat, it can be divided. (I like it really hot, my husband likes it mild.)
