what you need
- 2 lb. chicken breast halves, cooked and sliced
- Oil
- Seasoning
- 1 bag (2 lb.) frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 1 package (8 ounce) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb. Oscar Mayer Deli-Sliced Ham (we like Brown Sugar), cut into fourths
- 2 cups Kraft Shredded Swiss Cheese, divided
- 2 packages (10 ounce each) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
- 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
make it
Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice chicken breasts into bite-sized strips and brown in oil; season if desired (we like Emeril's Southwest seasoning).
While chicken is cooking, spray the bottom of a 9x13 pan and layer bottom with potatoes. Layer browned chicken, cream cheese slices and ham over potatoes. Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese. Top with broccoli. Combine soup and pepper; spoon over broccoli. Top with remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered for 50 to 55 minutes or until bubbly.
Notes
This casserole takes some prep work, but there is nothing better on a cool autumn day. The flavors mingle together as they bake, and the gooey, comforting taste is out of this world.
It's a true one-dish meal, including carbs, vegetable, dairy, and protein, so serve it with a salad or a dish of applesauce for an unbeatable meal.
