what you need
- 1 1/4 lb. bag chocolate sandwich cookies
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 1 tub (12 oz.) Cool Whip
- Gummy worms
- 8" diameter clay pot
- Long-stemmed artificial flower
make it
Puree broken cookies to dirt consistency (4-6 at a time). Set aside.
In another bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar. Set aside
In another bowl, beat milk and pudding mixes and add Cool Whip. Fold pudding mixture thoroughly into cream cheese mixture.
Beginning and ending with crushed cookies, alternate layers of crushed cookies and pudding/cream cheese mixture into the pot. Layers should be 1/2" to 1" thick. Put gummy worms on top.
Cover with foil and freeze overnight. Remove from freezer 3 hrs. before serving (probably less in hot summer). Prior to serving, insert a long-stemmed, artificial flower in the top.
Notes
To serve more guests, double the recipe and layer the ingredients in a lg. sand pail. You will need some very large bowls to mix the ingredients. Otherwise, you could go through the process twice.
